Last January, the world premiere of Will Tuckett’s Lux Aeterna, performed by The Sarasota Ballet, was enthusiastically received by Sarasota audiences but was performed with recorded music. We are delighted to work with The Sarasota Ballet and the added dimension of live music, conducted by Key Chorale’s Artistic Director, Joseph Caulkins, will make this truly memorable. Joseph will also be The Sarasota Ballet’s guest conductor for their performances of George Balanchine’s Rubies set to Igor Stravinsky’s Capriccio for Piano and Orchestra.
Maestro Joseph Caulkins in rehearsal with Key Chorale of Sarasota in preparation for the performances of Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna, as choreographed by Will Tuckett, with Sarasota Ballet, November 21 & 22, 2014.
Tickets for these performances are available through the Sarasota Ballet’s box office 941/359.0099 x 101 or online here.
